Largest Kebbeh

We are proud to announce our latest record success for the Largest Kibbeh achieved on, 29th of August in Lebanon.

The attempt was part of the festival of Ihdeniyat in Ehden village (North of Lebanon), which was launched on the 5th of August. The challenge was to produce a minimum of 100kgs to successfully achieve a Guinness World Record.

Eager to break the record, 25 ladies worked hard to make this happen. The Kibbeh was put in a huge pan measuring 5m diameters and after almost 3 hours of baking the kibbeh, it weighed 233 kilos! To make the Kibbeh, 120 kilos of minced meat was used including 80 liters of olive oil, 80 kilos of “Bourghoul”, and 5 kilos of salt and 1 kilo of spice.

Talal Omar, an official GWR adjudicator, was there to assess the kibbeh and finally announced it as a record, which is the first of its kind and has never been achieved before!

The event received great media coverage and Talal was interviewed by different media outlets including: Al Mustaqbal TV, LBC, OTV, Reuters, Al Masriah, Waseet TV, Al Jazeerah and many other print media. The coverage was also announced on International media such as BBC NEWS, yahoo news and others.
